In the beginning of this project, I was interested in particular phrases that originated in my familial vernacular.  A kind of story-telling rumination on the power of brevity and language, they are jokes, stories, cultural references and poignant moments reduced to a few words.  Thinking of how power and meaning can be embedded in form, the words also poke fun at the typeface (Not Good Enough, Edwardian Script!) and the idea that perception can be altered through moves as simple as choosing sans serif or italics.
